This collection containes three series. Series 1, Plays and musicals, 1956-1988; Series 2, General office files, 1958-1987; Series 3, Asian studies, 1956-1991. Original order was maintained as much as possible, thus each series is in alphabetical order based on title or subject matter.

Information listed on the folder is not inclusive to its total content. Some materials have been moved from one folder to another in order to keep the continuity of information.

This collection contains the writing of LaVon Carroll, including a manuscript of her Novel; teaching/class information including muse lesson ideas; workshops and panels Lavon attended or presented at; research she used for her writing and classwork; personal information including awards, correspondence, education and events; publications and boxes of books she used in her research and class work; miscellaneous which includes her hoods and robes.

Addendum files have series that are listed alphabetically and folders within each series are arranged alphabetically. Correspondence is arranged chronologically.
