Biographical or Historical Information
I'm Joyce Buck, Instructor Specialist in Child and Family Studies. I began my career at WSU in 1975 as a faculty member during the time the department acquired its name of "Child and Family Studies." When I married, I left Weber College and began my wife and mother experience. More than 20 years, and six children later, having been a stay-at-home mother and homemaker, I returned to Weber as a part time instructor. Currently I am a full time Instructor Specialist for CHF and a Certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations. My husband and I are the parents of five sons and one daughter. My experience includes Extension Home Economist for Morgan County and illustrator for AEGIS Character Education, and President of the Utah Council on Family Relations. I returned to WSU in 1994 and have a combined teaching experience of more than twenty years in the Child and Family Studies Department, and currently serve as Advisor to the Weber State Chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society. Joyce Buck retired following the Spring 2014 semester.Note written by Joyce Buck
