Scope and Contents The Viva May Wilcox Collection was donated by her daughter, Rona Lee Maughan. Viva May grew up in Ogden at 2583 Fowler Avenue. This collection focuses on her teenage, early adult years, specifically during World War II. This collection is mostly letters to Keith from his mother, other soldiers and his fiancé Viva May Gammell. These were all written in the summer of 1944. This collection contains service cards for servicemen from Weber County primarily during World War I, but also some from World War II. The cards are listed alphabetically by last name. Most of the cards include information such as their home address in Weber County, their branch of service, countries served in, discharge or death dates, and next of kin. There are also fewer than two dozen cards for nurses and Forest Service personnel.
