This collection contains photographs used in the 2005 UCC symposium display on UCC and Building America's Defense. The photographs are categorized by founders, World War II, Lucky Mc, and Missile Centers. The captions are included with the photographs.
U.S. Official Pictures of the World War
This collection contains the U.S Official Pictures of the World War bearing images of America’s
participation from 1920, and United States Navy in the World War from 1921. The book is in
poor condition and has been disbound to its individual portfolios. Included tucked into the front
cover of the book is a photograph and certificate.
Utah Defense Collection
Newspaper articles, newspaper supplements and photographs of the Ogden Defense Depot, Ogden, Utah and Hill Air Force Base, Clearfield, Utah, 1941-1979. Newspaper articles are from The Deseret News and photographs depict early American fighter jet and Hill Air Force Base runway. Oversize manuscript drawer.
War Service Cards
This collection contains service cards for servicemen from Weber County primarily during World War I, but also some from World War II. The cards are listed alphabetically by last name. Most of the cards include information such as their home address in Weber County, their branch of service, countries served in, discharge or death dates, and next of kin. There are also fewer than two dozen cards for nurses and Forest Service personnel.
W.E. Lindquist Military Paper
Recommendation of appointing 2 nd Lieutenant W.E. Lindquist to 1 st Lieutenant in
the National Guard of Utah, November 24, 1911. Signed by Adjutant General E. Wedgwood and
Utah Governor William Spry.
Wendell Rounkles Collection
The Wendell Rounkles Collection is a collection mostly involving World War II, with correspondence from his sweetheart and ward from Ogden. It also includes military correspondence which includes a liberty pass in 1944. There are also some religious pamphlets and other miscellaneous items.
Wilson S. Carr Manuscript Collection
This collection contains a military discharge paper for Wilson S. Carr in 1864 and a petition of the federal government for a pension in behalf of Wilson S. Car to Mrs. Estella E. Carr. Also included in the collection is an agreement of the donation of the Wilson S. Carr documents to Weber State College.
