Southern Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad passes for Railroad Section

Foreman, Luis Jaime and his family of Ogden, Utah. Included is a membership card in the Union

of Boilermen and Assistants, issued to Luis, 1924-1925. Dates for the railroad passes are 1946-

1968.

Abstract

This collection includes photocopies of the items in the scrapbook detailing the first professional skiers in Ogden. The collection was donated by Dr. Lee Sather of the History Department.

The MacDowell Ensemble Ogden Chapter is part of the MacDowell Clubs, which was established to honor the American composer, Edward MacDowell. This club promotes music and other art forms in America, providing a platform for artists to exchange ideas and create works. All this to support local artists and fosters community engagement in the arts. Mona Smith was a music professor at Weber State University. She specialized in the piano. She was a Utah Honored teacher.

Scope and Contents This collection is the scans of a book written by Nancie Watson about her parents, Rita and Milt Berlin, who started the Mansion House in Ogden. It contains photos and information about the family and the restaurant, as well as the first wedding reception center in Ogden, Threshold, owned by Rita Berlin. The images follow the pages of the book. The Mansion House was located at 2350 Adams, the Schocroft home, and took its name from Joseph Smith’s home in Nauvoo, Illinois that always welcomed...

photographs, birthday cards, newspaper clippings, and ephemera. The correspondence,

photographs, and ephemera tucked into the front cover have been moved into folders.
