Abstract

This collection contains the daily record for the 5 th Ward School from March 9, 1891 to May 15, 1891. Louis F. Moench was the teacher. The book lists the students, attendance, and scores for subjects. The subjects include Theology, Elocution, Grammar, Physical Geography, Reading and Arithmetic. It also has a Visitors' Register at the end. Students included David Eccles, Joseph Belnap, the Farr Children, Andrew and Walter Kerr, Joseph and Hyrum Pingree and the Moench Children.

Letter from Ogden, Utah pioneer and prominent citizen, Aaron F. Farr to Brigham

Young, Heber C. Kimball, and Daniel H. Wells of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints, accepting their invitation to attend a festival in the New Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Letter is dated July 2, 1863. This letter includes a typewritten transcription. Located in the vault

room.
