Writing on photograph: Salt Lake City, June 19—Dies Before Firing Squad—Austin Cox, bearded slayer of a district judge and accused of the shotgun deaths of four other persons, stuck out his tongue as the death warrant was read today, then was executed by a firing squad at Utah Prison. This picture of Cox was taken last month.

Banking House of Harkness Co. card
First National Bank of Utah This bank was founded in 1869 by Warren Hussey and Charles Dahler. It was Utah's most important financial institution at the time, with branches in Ogden and Corinne. The bank's building was damaged in a fire in 1875 and was purchased by Simon Bamberger in 1885.
