A broadside advertising the Festival of the Salt Princess in Salt Lake from September 11-13th. The fun included rock drilling, log sawing, tugs-of war, pie eating, wienerwurst snapping and a “unique public marriage ceremony.” Broadside has been taped back together as it was in 4 pieces.
The Great Salt Lake collection contains ephemera related to the Great Salt Lake. Subjects
include Salt Lake, Salt Lake city, Antelope Island, Saltair, and the Great Salt Lake Cut-off.

Newspaper articles and register of death about the train accident of February 19,
1904, killing sixteen Greek laborers as they were traveling to build the Lucin Cut-off on the
Great Salt Lake, Utah. This collection was donated by Stella Kapetan whose great-grandfather,
Leonidas Maltezos, was amongst the train accident victims. Donated to Special Collections,
