The Laura Moench Jenkins Manuscript Collection
This collection consists of a Xerox copy of “A Sketch in the Life of Professor Louis Frederick
Moench” written by his daughter, Laura Moench Jenkins. Also “The Story of a Pioneer” by his
daughter, Delecta Moench Davis. Donated by Laura Moench Jenkins.
The Lavon B. Carroll Manuscript Collection
The collection consists of a Xerox page from a commentary by George Steiner, “Language and
Silence,” 1974, concerning the effect of culture on the human mind; a Xerox copy of an outline,
“Dimensions in Reading Literature and the Welfare of Mankind,” by Dr. Lavon B. Carroll,
January 12, 1978. A Xerox copy of the manuscript “Literature and the Welfare of Mankind”; a
printer’s proof of a manuscript, “Values in Literature.”
The Lawrence T. Dee Plaque Collection
These items were donated in 2002 by the Dee family. The collection contains two framed certificates presented to Lawrence T. Dee and a framed photograph of Lucky Mc in Wyoming. Lucky Mc was an uranium mine owned and operated by Utah International, of which Lawrence T. Dee served as a member of the Board of Directors.
The Leland B. Sather Collection
This collection contains a paper, “National Self-Consciousness and Separatists Sentiments in
Norway 1809-1814,” read at the annual meeting of the American History Society, 1977, and a
journal publication, “The Proper Prince: The Rearing of Christian August,” Scandinavian
Studies 54 (1982) by Dr. Leland B. Sather, professor of history, Weber State College. These
manuscripts are not for reproduction.
The Lena Maggio Collection

The Littlefield Family Photograph Collection
This is a collection of photographs of the E.O. Wattis and Littlefield families. The set contains negatives, photographs, and scanned copies of the images. Most of the photographs center on Edmund Wattis Littlefield and his mother, Marguerite. The group was donated in August 2007 by Denise Sobel, daughter of Edmund Wattis Littlefield.
The Louise Becker Beck Collection
The contents of this collection consist of three pamphlets, one newspaper clipping, three newspaper photographs and one certificate all relating to Becker Brewery. All items are Xerox copies.
The Lydia Holmgren Tanner Manuscript Collection
This autobiography is an account of the life of Lydia Holmgren Tanner. It deals with her youth in
Brigham City, her career as a teacher, her life in Ogden before, during and after World War II.
Also her involvement and activities in the LDS Church.
The Marilyn Karras Collection
This collection contains original copies and galley proofs of newspaper articles on the pioneer
history of northern Utah written by Marilyn Karras for the Ogden Standard-Examiner
Bicentennial Historical Art Colllection series, 1976 – 1977. This collection is restricted for use
unless written permission is received from Marilyn Karras.
