Abstract

This collection contains a manuscript, “Preacher From Kirtland: The Early Missions of Jedediah

Grant” by Gene A. Sessions, Ph.D., Department of history, Weber State College. Presented at the

annual meeting of the Mormon Historical Association, April 13, 1977, Kirtland, Ohio. Donated

by Dr. Sessions.



It also contains a manuscript written by Dr. Gene A. Sessions, Weber State College, and

presented at the Mormon History Association session, Pacific Coast Branch, American Historical

Association Seventieth Annual Meeting. The manuscript contains comments on “A Brigham

Young Centennial”. The collection also contains a reprint of “The Clark Memorandum Myth”,

from Vol. XXXIV, No. 1, July 1977 of The Americas. The article contains comments on the

Monroe Policy of Non-intervention and the J. Reuben Clark Memorandum.
