Administrative/Biographical History
Printing Services at Weber State University has been active since the 1950s and is now known as Wildcat Design & Print which also encompasses the university’s Copy Centers. They are housed in the Receiving and Distribution Building on the Ogden Campus having previously been located in the now demolished Building 2. Affiliated Copy Centers have been located across the Ogden campus including in the Stewart Library and Shepherd Union as well as a branch on the Davis campus.
Over the years the Department has won numerous awards from the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association (IPMA). The Department has also been instrumental in helping Weber State design and change its logo as the institution has transitioned from a junior college to a senior college through to becoming Weber State University in 1991.
The department specializes in all forms of printing, including screen printing, embroidery, engraving, and copying. Whilst mostly serving the university community they have also serviced numerous organizations in Ogden, Weber County, and across northern Utah.

Arrangement Note
Many items were glued or stapled to pieces of card, often with multiple items on the same piece of card (front and back). It would be too dangerous to the integrity of the items to remove them from the card; as such arrangement proved difficult at times and some items are not in the ideal series.
The folders in the series are arranged chronologically, when possible, and alphabetically by type (brochure, leaflet, program, etc.) when the material is undated. As multiple items are attached to the same piece of card it means that some objects are not in the ideal chronological order.
Series 1: Academics and education, 1960-1982; Series 2: Campus life, 1956-1982; Series 3: Outside institutions, 1963-1974; Series 4: Printing services items, 1972-2017; Series 5: Athletics departments and sports teams, 1958-1991; Series 6: Student life including Greek life, 1959-1985; Series 7; Visual and performing arts, 1958-1984.
