Biographical / Historical

Records of the Ogden Area History Teaching Alliance active from 1984-1991 for the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution. Officially formed May 1986 as part of the National History Teaching Alliance, the Ogden Area History Teaching Alliance originated from a collaborative alliance by three Ogden area schools and Weber State College. The alliance focused on teaching the U.S. constitution in Ogden area public schools and hosting seminars for educators. The intent was to upgrade the awareness of the elementary and secondary American history teachers using various teaching aids and materials in the Ogden school district, bringing in top specialists from around the U.S. to teach the teachers, and building a network of professional colleagues at the college level for public school teachers.
