The Arlyn M. Garside Collection was a collection donated by Kelly Garside. This collection contains

materials pertaining to the life of Arlyn Garside both personal and professional. Arlyn was a

police detective for Ogden city for many years, and the collection contains correspondence,

photos, police reports, his notebooks and mug shots related to his job. It also contains personal

photos and a scrapbook.

This collection contains the diary of Carla Mohlman from 1925. Carla Mohlman’s diary accounts

her unhappy marriage to Officer Arthur Mohlman. Also included with the diary is email

correspondence about finding the diary and newspaper clipping copies pertaining to Carla

Mohlman from 1923 to 1935.

The collection was donated to Weber State University by Utah State University Special Collections in June 2005. The articles range from topics such as theft, prohibition, larceny, gambling, murder and draft dodging.
