Contains photograph of Austin Cox and photocopy of the Ogden Standard Examiner Saturday Evening July 24, 1943. Writing on photograph: Salt Lake City, June 19—Dies Before Firing Squad—Austin Cox, bearded slayer of a district judge and accused of the shotgun deaths of four other persons, stuck out his tongue as the death warrant was read today, then was executed by a firing squad at Utah Prison. This picture of Cox was taken last month.

Booking sheet reads: “We have in custody E.L. Craft whose photo we are enclosing, and whose description is as follows. Age 23, height 5 ft. 11 ½ inches, weight 150 lbs., complexion light, has red spot in left eye. We are inclined to think that this fellow is a bad man and is wanted somewhere. Send all information to T.A. Devine, Sherrif.” Signed by J.L. Hobson, Chief Deputy Sheriff, Ogden Utah February 20, 1912.
