James Olsen Sr. and James Olsen Jr. worked as Engineers for the Utah Construction and Mining Company. The mines they worked in were primarily in the Western United States. James Olsen Jr. donated this collection to WSU in May 2009. The collection is arranged by subject headings alphabetically with a miscellaneous section placed at the end of the collection.

This collection contains digital color photographs from Utah Construction and Mining Company from the 1960s-1990s. It also includes a narrative of the Olsen family working for Utah Construction during this period. The collection was donated by Dr. James H. Olsen, Jr. in 2006.
