Edmond Arthur Littlefield Collection
This collection contains personal letters and photos of Edmond Arthur Littlefield principally from his service in the American Field Service during World War I. Other items include pre and post WWI letters and photos. The collection was donated by Denise Sobel, his granddaughter. The collection is principally divided into two main parts, correspondence and photographs. Sub groups and chronology follows.

Emma Stander Correspondence
Three letters from Emma Stander of Bear River City, Utah, to her sister Anna in
Ogden, Utah, and her brother, Isaac. Letters are dated July 25, 1892, November 11, 1896, and
one is undated, Letters are reports of events in Bear River City and family matters.
Eunice – Thelia Correspondence
Letter from “Eunice” to “Thelia”, Ogden, Utah dated July 19, 1891. Letter is
filled with news about children and other homey matters. There is some suggestion that Thelia
may be a sister, since Eunice requests that Thelia tell “mother” that one of Eunice’s babies has
his cradle.

Letter from Fawn McKay Brodie to Mrs. George Clement (“Trudie”) of Beverly
Hills, California, expressing thanks for a note about Brodie’s book, The Devil Drives. She
discusses Sir Richard Francis Burton’s book, Book of the Sword, and the fact that her personal
copy was more expensive than one that Trudie found. Dated August 30, 1970 from her home in
Pacific Palisades, California.
Fort Bridger Collection
Itemized receipt for sale of goods and correspondence to M.E. Carter of Fort
Bridger, Wyoming. Correspondence concerns goods sold to Carter from various businesses in
Ogden, Utah. Items are dated 1878, 1882, and 1883.
Fred J. Kiesel Correspondence
Correspondence to early Ogden, Utah businessman, Fred J. Kiesel. Letters are from his mother, his sisters, Marie and Louise, and his grandfather, Christoph H. Kiesel. Several letters are written in German and these have typewritten pages of English translation. Also included is a genealogy page for the Kiesel family. Letters are dated 1857, 1860, 1862, and 1863.
