This collection contains pamphlets collected by Wayne Thornock during his LDS mission in England after World War II. The items were donated by Mr. Thornock in 2006.
Ogden 3rd Ward Bishop's Store House Donation Book
The book lists members alphabetically and the amount and type of donation they made. Donations ranged from cash, labor, hay, lumber, produce, diary, and meat. Members of the 3 rd Ward included Eccles, Farr, Eastman, and Pingree families.
Ogden 20th Ward Dedication
The Ogden 20 th Ward was created from the 4 th and 23 rd Wards in Ogden, Utah on March 20,
1927, and dedicated on June 24, 1934, taking seven years to build.
Ogden Amateur Radio Club
Started in May of 1921 when a group of four got together to exchange ideas and talk radio. It
now has roughly eighty members with its own newsletter and website. The newsletter has been
incorporated into its website as an e-magazine.
Ogden Arsenal
Ogden Bench Canal and Water Company
This collection consists of a check book from the company dated from January 13, 1894 to December 26, 1907. The book contains cancelled company checks No. 1 to No. 506 to people and companies such as Alma D. Chambers (secretary and Treasurer), Hyrum Goodale (Director), The Standard Publishing Company, and W. W. Browning Company. The checks were drawn on a First National Bank account. A running balance is kept on the back of each page.
Ogden Bench Canal Company
This collection contains a minute book and ledger for the Ogden Bench Canal Company. The items were donated by Richard Roberts in September 2004.
Ogden Boosters program
The Ogden Boosters Club was organized in the 1920s in Ogden as a means to have community members help with projects in and around Ogden. It grew to include a basketball team that helped raise money for the community with tournaments.
