In 1979 Ogden City created the Landmarks Commission to protect and enhance the buildings,

areas and natural history of Ogden. It is comprised of citizen volunteers who review proposals to

change the exterior of buildings in Ogden’s three historic districts.

This collection includes foreign policy materials, teaching aids and course materials, correspondence, newspaper clippings and print-outs, grant and fellowship materials, internship materials, photographs, event programs, research materials, and books. Information listed on the folder is not inclusive to its total content. Some materials have been moved from one folder to another in order to keep the continuity of information.

This contents of this collection were donated by Leonard J. Arrington. The manuscripts include printed and reprint copies of “The Mormon Heritage of Vardis Fisher,” “The Economic Role of Pioneer Mormon Women,” and “The Six Pillars of Utah’s Pioneer Economy.”

Liberty Loan Roll of Honor for employees of the Ogden Portland Cement

Company of Utah, 1917. This honor roll recognizes these people’s contribution for subscribing

to Liberty Bonds. Included is a newspaper clipping of a public pledge of support to these

employees by the president of the company, Chapin A. Day, dated June 1, 1917.
