Receipts to and from George J. Kelly of Kelly & Herrick,

Ogden, Utah. George J. Kelly was an Inspector of United

States Customs. Receipts are dated 1898, 1900, and

1902.

106 Architectural drawings created by George Nichols who was an architect for the U.S. Forest Service Intermountain Region based in Ogden Utah.

This collection was donated in October 2001 by Mary Martin, George Fister’s daughter. Housed in these records are copies of lectures, photographs, and research conducted by Fister. Items of interest include a letter from President Dwight Eisenhower, a photograph of early Ogden, and documentation of Fister’s inauguration as President of the American Medical Association.

This collection contains photographs, journals, scrapbooks, and architectural drawings of George Nichols. He was an architect for the U.S. Forest Service Building located in Ogden, Utah. He built ranger stations and park elements throughout Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. In this collection were also books from the International Correspondence Schools that were taken out of the collection and catalogued into Special Collections.

This collection consists of business correspondence, invoices, notes and ephemera related to

Geo. Olson and Son Wholesale Dealers, Becker Manufacturing Company, and Jess C. Olson

Company.

Contains copy of newspaper article and photograph of George Perrins dated December 14, 1932 with writing: “This is Hard to Beet—George Perrins, Ogden, Utah has reason to smile, for his possession is the largest sugar beet grown in Utah this year—it weighs 15 pounds, 12 ounces—which is a lot of sweetness anywhere.”

The George T. Henry Collection consists of records pertaining to Henry’s Air Force career,

mortgages and property records, and personal records. Dates range from 1934 – 1969.

Contains photocopies of photographs of Guisseppe Giordano as a POW at the Ogden DDO, in his homeland of Italy and with his family in Weber County. It also contains photocopies of newspaper clippings and articles about Giordano and the Italian POW experience.

Weber Academy was the forerunner of Weber State University. The Academy issued students

cards that admitted the student into the Academy until the date on the card and showed how

much tuition had been paid. This was the precursor to the student ID card.
