Eden, Utah—Railroad fuses placed as flares at each end of field on the George Fuller Farm at Eden, Utah, by members of the Fuller family as they heard droning of a circling plane during blizzard, guided pilot Lt. R.F. Quiring, Lincoln, Nebraska, to land the plane safely. The AT-11, on flight from Boise, Idaho, to Hill Field, Utah, was lost in the storm and the pilot circled to avoid plunging into rugged Rocky Mountains nearby.
