The Aglaia Club
Abstract
The Aglaia Club was organized in 1939 by a group of 12 young women wanting to help beautify the community of Ogden. “Aglaia” is the graceful and beautiful Goddess of Greek mythology who gave charm to nature and bestowed on man wisdom, love and social graces. This name was chosen to represent a group dedicated to the arts and social graces. Help inspire the group to renew their devotions to culture and community development. MS 316 includes six boxes. Included in the collection are obituaries of deceased members as well as program booklets. This collection includes scrapbooks.
