The Hinckley Family Manuscripts and Photographs
Abstract
The Hinckley family business papers were donated to the Weber State University Library Special Collections Department, shortly after the death of John S. Hinckley in 1990 by Robert H. Hinckley, Jr.. Processing began in the summer of 1996 and was completed in March 1997 by Steven R. Wood. Papers were organized into series, foldered and boxed in archival storage containers. Duplicate documents and incidental publications have been weeded and removed from the collections. One cu. ft. of photographs was separated and will be available as another collection. Newspaper clippings have been photocopied and destroyed. A published biography of Robert H. Hinckley, I’d Rather be Lucky than Rich was published in 1977 and contains references to the businesses and people documented in this collection.
