Scope and Contents
Two letters to and from A.B. Johnson of Ogden, Utah, 1889. The first letter is
from William Henry Smith of the Associated Press, May 13, 1889. This letter is about Mr.
Johnson’s concern about receiving a timely news report from the Standard Examiner. The
second letter is from A.B. Johnson and is addressed to a “Mr. Hurd” and is dated December 15,
1889 from Commercial Publishing Co., Ogden, Utah. It is concerned with negotiations on selling
a small Utah newspaper business to Hurd. Donated by the Nebraska State Historical Society,
2005.
