The Junior League of Ogden Photograph Collection was donated to the Special Collections Department of the Stewart Library by the Junior League of Ogden. This photograph collection corresponds with the League’s Manuscript Collection (MS 28). The photographs were taken between 1977 and 1984. This collection is classified as P 32 and is housed in the Stewart Library’s Department of Special Collections.

This collection contains 346 photographs mostly of events which took place in the Ogden area. The photographs are arranged chronologically. The first box contains pictures of various events and activities sponsored by the League from 1977 to 1984. The vast majority of this box is dedicated to the Junior League of Ogden’s 50th Anniversary at the Hilton Hotel on March 31, 1984. The second box contains all the photographs pertaining to the Avon Futures Tennis Tournaments of 1978 and 1980 which was sponsored by the League. The first couple of folders in the second box, which contain the tennis players’ Avon Tennis endorsement photographs, are arranged alphabetically.

Both the photograph and manuscript collections are restricted. Written permission from the President of the Junior League of Ogden is prerequisite to the reproduction of any information or photograph pertaining to the League. In addition, the following departmental policies govern the use of all materials housed in Special Collections: 1) Books, manuscripts and photographs do not circulate. Research of collection materials must be undertaken in the department reading room. 2) Use of pen is prohibited when working with collection materials. 3) Permission to remove materials for duplication or photocopying must be obtained from the Special Collections Curator or an authorized assistant.
