Biographical / Historical
The Faculty Board of Review was established by the Constitution of the Faculty Senate through an amendment made to the constitution in July of 1969. Since being established, the board has reviewed cases concerning promotion, salary, work conditions, and other faculty concerns. From hearing these cases, the board makes recommendations to the appropriate individuals for necessary action. The board has been functioning since its inception with little change to the duties of the board. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, an ad hoc committee was established to review the work being done by the Faculty Board of Review. The results of the work done by this committee caused only minor changes be made to the board.
