The Senate consists of a representative for the different colleges, campuses, and student groups. As of the 2011-2012 school year there are 20 senators. A member of the Senate can serve for up to two school years. Senators are chairs of Area Councils of their constituency, serve as members of other committees, as well as pass legislation.
