Admissions, Standards, and Student Affairs Committee records, 1941-1980
Scope and Contents
The Admissions, Credits, and Graduation Committee collection covers content from 1941 through 1980. The information contains the letters sent from students requesting how many hours in each department they will need to graduate. Committee meetings are outlined showing requests to change graduation requirements, credit hours that are available in each department, and any change in admission requirements. Some interesting subject matter includes the allowance of a deaf boy to take one drafting class, the allowance of new housing for Japanese students, and materials regarding whether or not to change graduation requirements for women to be required to take at least one Home Economics course. Chairman Clarisse H. Hall was in office from 1941 to 1962 and Chairman Milton C. Mecham covered from 1963 to 1980.
