This subgroup consists of records relating to or created by Wilford M. McKendrick, Principal of Weber Academy from 1908-1910. Wilford was born on January 12, 1870 in Tooele. He graduated from Tooele public schools and taught for a brief time at a school in Lakepoint. He graduated from Brigham Young Academy in 1892. He married Lydia Wilson in 1892, and had four children. He was principal of the Monroe High School for a year before teaching at Brigham Young Academy as a mathematics professor. He served an LDS mission from 1900-1902 in the Southern United States mission. He became a professor of mathematics at Weber Academy until 1908, when he became principal. During his tenure, the school changed from Weber Stake Academy to Weber Academy. He moved to Boise, Idaho in 1910 and became one of the chief examiners for the Idaho Tax Commission. He later worked as a Utah state tax auditor in Salt Lake City, as well as an accountant for the firm of Haskins and Sells. He died on May 11, 1936 after a lengthy illness.
